"Engaged Marie for help with a few issues. One being having a pup that is easily excited and barks at almost everything, human, bicycle, dogs etc. After the first session, I could see my pom puppy being less reactive to humans and even successfully walking past a group of them without barking. However, we hoomans still require alot of practice and hopefully we are doing it right 🙏🏻.

Marie also provided various insights on products we can get for our pom from pee tray, to food, to toothpaste and more. Not only for 🐶, she was able able to provide recommendations for hoomans too. 🤣

Overall, she made the sessions very enjoyable and my puppy is very comfortable with her."

"My Singapore Special Sam is a sweet boy but has issues walking, particularly when I’m traveling. He wouldn’t let anyone else put the harness on him, so that meant he wouldn’t be walked. He would also hold his pee and poo for days, hoping that I will be back soon to walk him. He would only do his business at home after he can’t hold anymore. 

So I’m very glad that we met Marie through a friend’s recommendation. She was able to solve issues, and let me gain confidence in walking Sam. I feel much better when I see Sam getting the walks when I’m away. Sam takes well to her as well! We are both grateful to her!"

"My partner and I met Marie while walking our dog Ravioli along Robertson Quay. Ravioli is a cautious dog and can be timid if she’s not comfortable with you. "We engaged Marie to look after Momo while we were away and highly recommend her!

Momo has behavioural and anxiety issues and Marie made adjustments to make sure he’s comfortable at her place. She took him for long walks, sometimes in the wee hours of the morning. She converted her study room to be his “presidential suite”, complete with diffuser, soothing music and a view of the Singapore River. She sat next to him in the room and gave him lots of cuddles too.

"I engaged Marie to help with my mini Dachshund, Carlos' behaviorual training. He had an intense biting phase — play-biting but didn't control his strength! — and was difficult to take out on walks (constant pulling), easily excited/ over-stimulated (which made meeting other dogs or even children difficult), and had virtually no impulse control (jumping on people, rushing to eat things off the floor, etc.). 

I was so stressed out about all this until I started working with Marie, who is an absolute delight and life-changer with Carlos.

After 1 session of training (the humans!), we could already see a marked improvement with Carlos' behaviour, and even visitors who come to our place are shocked at the almost overnight change in Carlos' behaviour.

Marie is friendly, sweet, and always willing to go the extra mile to help — I often text her on days that training doesn't go the way I'd hoped and she's always willing to advise me and help even though it isn't an official training day with her. You can tell that she genuinely cares (for both pup and human) and just wants to help make our dogs' lives and relationship with us better. She's also really gentle and good with dogs, Carlos has loved her and felt comfortable since the very first day!

"Marie was a godsend.

We’ve had dogs our whole life, but it was our first time adopting our Singapore Special, Elvis. 

He was highly anxious out on walks and with anyone else he wasn’t familiar with. 

So glad we engaged her to help all of us learn how to help him, she was so patient even when he bit a hole in her nice Lululemon pants!

"Marie was a godsend when we had two new puppies, Autumn and Winter. We've always had rescues before who were older, or well trained dogs who had been abandoned. So two new puppies (one for my mom, and the other for my family) had us a little out of our depth. 

We knew we definitely didn't want a coach that used aversive training or devices, or had very restrictive times or group sizes. Marie is basically the equivalent of gentle/positive parenting in the dog world.

What we love about working with Marie is that she offers bespoke lessons for the family. We've had lessons where it was just with my mom and I at my mom's place. Lessons with the different helpers where they learned to walk the dogs. And soon - lessons with my young boys at my home as well. 

We've also had very practical behavioural classes for the pups - how to mingle with other dogs and how to behave at outdoor cafes. Things we actually need in our daily life. We really just wanted the furkids to be well-trained to live well with us. To not be over excitable, be toilet-trained and to be well socialised with both dogs and humans.

The pups were privileged to be guided along by Butter and Ash in their journey. We're looking forward to them blossoming further under Marie's guidance.

"I engaged Marie to come and share her experience with my husband and I before we brought home my dog, Leila. It proved very useful as we found ourselves more prepared when gotcha day came around. 

On our second session together, this time with Leila, both doggy and human had such a fruitful session with Marie! She really helped me overcome my fear of Leila’s separation anxiety, giving me the confidence to leave her alone at home for short periods (slowly increasing with time). 

She also taught me a useful lesson in training Leila to get used to her playpen and to only come out when allowed. The training was so effective that Leila was completely knocked out afterwards.

"We got to know Marie when Dr Vanessa, our vet from Mount Pleasant recommended us to contact her to help with Koda's timid and extremely shy behaviour.

Marie has a very natural way with dogs, and Koda who is not human/stranger friendly was able to open up to her. We brought Koda for behavioural training, and Yoyo, our other Chihuahua also joined in for the training session to learn some commands too. 

The training was comfortable, not rushed, and Marie took the time to answer all our questions. Teaching a small timid Chihuahua is not as easy, but Marie demonstrated extreme patience with both of them, and mostly, the learning humans too. We are glad we found Marie, and we are still in touch with her as we continue our learning journey."

Both of them were skittish and their lack of confidence, combined with our own inexperience with handling rescued dogs, led to them developing reactivity issues.
